Introduction
An opportunity exists for an Accountant or Bookkeeper to join a medium sized well-established accounting and audit firm on a permanent basis.

The appointee will be responsible for performing various accounting functions for various client
Duties

• Client liaison.
• Monthly accounting and processing up to trail balance.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monthly journal entries.
• VAT reconciliations (assistance with income tax and provisional tax submissions).
• Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
• Preparation of year end schedules to support the preparation of annual financial statements as well as other admin duties.
• Sorting and filing of financial records.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Accounting will be an advantage.
• Qualified by experience will also be considered.
• Professional registration will be a major benefit.
• 2 years plus bookkeeping experience with at least one year in an Accounting Practice Environment.
• Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills.
• Detail orientated.
• Work efficiently under pressure.
• Own transport.
• Deadline driven.

Salary
Salary: R18000 to R30000 / month negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.
