Introduction
The Karan Beef group is looking for a seasoned Cost Accountant who will be responsible for monitoring the financial performance of the holding stations. The Cost accountant will be in possession of the following:
Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Manage stock counts at holding stations.
• Review and reconcile movement of stock in and out of the holding stations.
• Reconciliation of the holding station herd figures.
• Approve holding station invoices.
• Perform sales invoices for holding stations.
• Analyse holding station expenses and provide reasons for variances.
• Perform regular site visits to holding stations.
• Development and review Key Internal Control at the holding stations.
• Manage the administrative staff at the holding stations.
• Manage the administration side of fixed assets at the holding station.
• Produce monthly holding station financial performance reports.
• Ensure any relevant regulatory requirements and adhered to and monitored by all holding stations.

Desired Experience & Qualification
REQUIREMENTS:

• CIMA Level 1 or equivalent qualification.
• 5-7 years' work experience in Cost Accounting.
• Conversant in both English and Afrikaans
• In depth knowledge of financial models and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics
• Understanding of organizational accounting concepts
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data
• Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software
• Ability to perform risk and security assessments
• In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Must be prepared to work under pressure.
• Must be able and willing to travel to different sites for periods of time.
