£37,000 to £42,000 depending on experience

Founded in 2013 by a team of experienced telecommunications professionals, Zest4 have rapidly grown to become one of the UK’s leading providers of Unified Communications solutions. In 2023, Zest4 joined the Focus Group UK to lead the wholesale / indirect strategic channel offering for the group.
Based in Cheshire, the company operates through traditional mobile dealers and reseller channel partners, building on our vast experience of the telecoms billing arena. The team have expanded the product set whilst maintaining the same ethos of service being the core of their offer.
The Role:
As a key part of the finance team, you will report to the Finance Director and own the delivery of key outputs for the finance team. These include the Management accounts, Balance sheet reconciliations (including intercompany) and the VAT return. You will report the results into our group function to timetable and provide summarised commentary on key variances.
You will be required to utilise your experience in a finance role to support Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the business is run in an efficient and controlled way by ensuring the ledgers reflect the current business position to support a no surprises culture.
You will be a key contact with group colleagues and external advisors to ensure delivery of strategic initiatives including a clean annual audit.
You should demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills; technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness as well as high levels of numeracy and the ability to handle large volumes of data.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
- Ability to produce management accounts from trial balance.
- An understating of finance ERP systems.
- An understanding of doing VAT returns.
- Be used to running control reports like aged creditors / debtors or cashbook reconciliation.
Prerequisite skills / experience:
- Part Qualified level candidates considered, looking to progress your career in a finance team.
- Minimum 3 years+ experience in a Finance role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good with numbers and a positive approach to task management.
- Should demonstrate good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office skills. Including MS Excel.
- Experience of using accounting systems / ERP.
Desirable skills / experience
- Staff management experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience within the telecommunications industry is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience using Sage and or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage but not essential.
