Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyze expense reports and internal costs, ensuring correct coding and strategic insights.

Accounts Management:
- Approve sales invoices and oversee accounts receivable, including credit assessments and debt collection processes.
- Supervise accounts payable, ensuring timely reconciliations and invoice approvals.

Inventory Control:
- Manage monthly stocktakes and maintain inventory controls across the state's operations.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager on inventory issues.

Payroll and Human Resources:
- Oversee the weekly payroll process, addressing local HR matters and maintaining employment records.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries and staff contract management.

Property and IT Coordination:
- Liaise with property agents regarding leasing arrangements and maintain relevant records.
- Coordinate with the IT Department to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure needs.

Office Administration and Compliance:
- Ensure the maintenance of office supplies and equipment and conduct safety audits.
- Manage contracts for cleaning and security services, including adherence to safety protocols.

This role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment, involving a variety of responsibilities that extend beyond traditional accounting tasks. The State Accountant plays a crucial role in facilitating interdepartmental communication and ensuring compliance with financial standards.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to take on diverse accounting and administrative responsibilities.
