Capital Metals focus is to explore, develop and ultimately become a producer of high-grade heavy mineral for the international market.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our team. The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects and dealing and negotiating with government departments and ministries. This person will also be responsible for maintaining a compliance register. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drafting correspondence and reports to government institutions and agencies
  • Represent the company in industry forums and seminars and provide management with appropriate feedback
  • Assist in monitoring timelines and conditions imposed by government entities
  • Coordinate specific project activities, resources, and information
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, plans, and reports submitted to departments and institutions
  • Managing the project schedule, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Liaise with government departments to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary approvals

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a Professional Qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, law, or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role in an established corporate or government department
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Sri Lanka’s legal framework, including an understanding of the various regulations affecting the mining industry
  • Experience in dealing with government departments
