Corporate Actions Specialist
The purpose of this role to provide exposure to perform daily operational duties for Corporate Actions relating to equities, bonds, money market, proxy voting warrants and debt instruments.
Provide a service and support in the business
•Perform operational duties that are related Corporate Actions - This includes Money Market, Proxy Voting Warrants and Debt Instruments.•Support in building foundations for improving business processes;•Assist in the analyse of new business requirements where required; e.g. ECASS - Equities, Money Markets and Bonds•Analyse data, collate and summarise at various levels where needed.•Support and assist with the change requests to ensure requests are controlled and prioritised according to business objectives and requirements as per operational need.•Ensure standards and consistencies are applied across all business areas.•Directive development.•Operational contingency.•Answer and provide first time resolution and quality driven responses to all business requirements.•Research and report on industry and market best practice.
Engage with clients in a client centric manner
•Ongoing relationship building with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth processing of Corporate Events.•Ability to develop new improved processes and to facilitate discussions with external stakeholders.•Delivering effective and consistent service and support to clients within specified service level agreements.•Committed to Customer Service.•Enable business communications between business areas.•Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.

Contribute to financial controls and planning
•Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.•Responsibly managing financial and other company resources under your control.•Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum.
•Grade 12 or equivalent•Degree in Business and/or BComm advantageous
Knowledge of securities industry, including Corporate Actions relating to equities, bonds, money market, proxy voting warrants and debt instruments.
