As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing the payroll function for Linfox NZ and its associated companies. This critical role encompasses the development and support of payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop the payroll team to achieve high standards of service delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including compliance with all statutory reporting and filing requirements.
- Build positive relationships with employees, managers, and senior management, providing timely and effective support on payroll matters.
- Oversee the reporting of payroll-related information to relevant stakeholders and maintain comprehensive personnel records.
- Coordinate system upgrades and liaise with software providers to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and interpret new laws impacting payroll.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to maintain efficient payroll processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the payroll department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in management or accounting, with industry accreditation in Payroll Management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Payroll Manager, with experience managing payroll for 500+ employees in a medium to large organisation.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, and applicable legislation.
- Proficiency in using relevant payroll software, in particular SAP (experience using Kronos is preferable).
- Strong analytical skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
