Successful incumbent will have a completed B.Com (Accounting) Degree / similar, coupled with a minimum of 5 years Supervisory / Management experience in a Accounts Payables. Position would ideally suit a female.
Be responsible for controlling and planning the work of the AP Team; be responsible for the AP Department; ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures; manage and maintain the vendor masterfile; review and approve forex P&L journals; training, support, manage and motivate a large team; manage internal and external audit requests in AP and prepare audit schedules; keep abreast of changes in the relevant Act and Standards ie. IFRS, VAT, POPI Act etc; work closely with Procurement with regards to trade vendor and cashbook vendor vetting; B/S recons for all AP related accrual accounts; daily and weekly cashflow forecasts and actuals; check and approve supplier payment packs; check and approve petty cash reimbursements and daily top ups; check and issue requisitions in line wit approval matrix and group reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. SAP experience essential.
