Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Established in 2007, our client is a multi-disciplined business that specialises in the management of land, through restoration, remediation, or reprofiling. With impressive growth plans, this business has developed into a market leading specialist in land remediation, leisure space development, and site operations.

As part of a new phase of expansion we are looking for a qualified and ambitious Management Accountant to join this dynamic team and take their career to the next level! Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in improving finance functions while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of financial operations.

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed, and timely accounts. This is the perfect position for a passionate finance professional who is eager to contribute to a focused and driven team while mentoring junior staff and having the potential to develop your career.

Management Accountant Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management sccounts for all group entities
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and daily cash flow forecasting
  • Performing KPI & variance analysis, and detailed monthly OPEX analysis
  • Overseeing Purchase Orders (PO) & Goods Received Notes (GRN) internal controls
  • Acting as a key point of contact during statutory financial audits
  • HMRC reporting, including quarterly VAT and levy returns
  • Reporting to the environment agency, including quarterly waste returns
  • Mentoring and supporting junior staff with ongoing studies
  • Assisting with ERP system upgrades and improvements
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc finance projects and covering other finance functions as required

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified
  • Proven experience in preparing management accounts
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
