Our client is looking for a talented Cost Accountant to join their fast-growing team and help drive financial success. As a key player in the finance department, you'll have the opportunity to analyse costs, streamline processes, and make strategic financial decisions that impact our business's success.

Duties:

• Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database.
• Construct data accumulation systems.
• Plan and record variable costs.
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
• Prepare budgeting reports.
• Analyse and report profit margins.
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting / BCom Finance, or related field
• CIMA studying / qualified

Experience:

• 3-5 years experience in cost accounting or similar role.
• Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical abilities in financial reporting, analysis, and management, including proficiency in accounting software and excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Will require travelling between different branches.
