About the Opportunity
The Manager, EMEA Tax will report to the Director, EMEA Tax, and will be responsible for assisting with Amentum's UK and EMEA tax compliance and provision matters. This individual contributor role will be instrumental in furthering Amentum's best-in-class tax function and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an extremely dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for overseeing the preparation of all required corporate income tax returns and associated calculations / workpapers in assigned jurisdictions
- Responsible for overseeing the preparation of all required VAT tax returns in assigned jurisdictions
- Assist with quarterly and year end tax provision workings, both for local country financial statement preparation and the global US GAAP audited financial statement
- Assist with calculating and making corporate income tax and VAT payments, and monthly account reconciliations
- Supporting the US and European input into the US and Global Consolidated tax provision process.
- Work closely with Finance/Accounting teams of tax related matters for statutory financial statement filings and audit
- Manage Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and SOX compliance and procedures
- Understand systems requirements related to income tax and VAT; monitor changes.
- Assisting with Amentum UK's Research and Expenditure Credit
- Work with and provide tax support to internal stakeholders, including Legal, Business Development, Contracts, and the US-based tax team
Here is what you need
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification
- 4+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or multi-national company
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage competing priorities and internal and external deadlines
- Positive attitude and dependable team player with strong attention to detail
