Introduction
The CEO will be a critical member of the founding management team. The CEO will be responsible for refining and executing the companies vision and strategy to launch and profitably grow the business, in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing. As an early-stage venture, we are looking for someone who is visionary but also practical, data driven, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and move between strategy and execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Strategy and growth: Develop and implement strategies to deliver growth and profitability, partnering closely with the Head of Marketing and broader management team.

Talent and Culture: Attract, retain, and develop world class talent. Build and develop a strong leadership team. Intentionally build an environment that fosters innovation and inclusion.

Technology development: Own the vision for the company product and platform design and partner closely with the companies technology partner to set and execute on the development roadmap.

Product development: Grow the company product offerings and lead the phased inclusion of new product verticals. Establish and maintain relationships with product providers and negotiate favorable commercial terms.

Governance and compliance: Ensure governance structures and processes are in place to deliver on company customer promise to deliver high quality, independent advice. Ensure the company meets all corporate and regulatory compliance requirements as a registered FSP.

Financial: Own the operational budget and manage burn rate.

Industry presence: Keep abreast of market information and updated regulations by building and maintaining relationships with local regulators, insurance and financial services associations, and market analysts in the industries.
Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12
• 10-15 years of experience.
• Leadership experience in financial services or insurance is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in commerce, actuarial science, computer science, engineering or similar equivalent degree. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• Experience leading and scaling a high growth start-up, preferably in the financial services or technology industries.
• Highly entrepreneurial and excited by the opportunity to build and grow a business and leadership team. Innovative and looking to be at the forefront of disruption in financial services.
• Strong understanding of insurance products and financial services.
• Exposure to digital marketing and lead generation techniques.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Data first mindset, with the ability to analyze data and market trends to drive sales strategies.
• Proven track record of building high performing teams.
• Highly motivated and target-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
• Relevant FSCA licenses in short and long term insurance products and experience as a Key Individual are a plus.
