JOB DESCRIPTION
Post: Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
Company: Erskine Veterns Charity
Reports to: Director of Strategic (Finance and Business) Planning
1. Main Purpose of the job
The Financial Planning and analysis manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team, with a primary purpose of leading financial analysis and planning activities across the organisation. This will include playing an integral role in support of strategic financial planning and delivering strong business partner support to the Senior and Executive Management teams.
2. Duties/Responsibilities
Financial planning and analysis
Support DSFBP in all Financial planning and analysis activities, including;
Create, operate and develop complex financial models which will address the impact of potential of business and operational decisions (including Annual budget and forecasting)
Lead on the annual and long term budgeted processes for allocated business units.
Work closely with the DSFBP to design and implement program of optimisation and efficiencies
Finance Business partner support for assigned cost centres, organisational business cases, Human Resources, key Procurement decisions, Fundraising Marketing and Communications, Facilities management, Accommodation and Capital projects
Financial reporting
Lead on the operation, and continued development of the system of financial reporting for budget monitoring and forecasting.
Lead on the quarterly forecasting processes for allocated business units.
Create, operate and develop KPI reporting processes and procedures
Leadership and team
Ensuring the wider organisation has a solid understanding of the financial objectives and the challenges and risks connected to these objectives.
A member of the Senior Management Team of the organisation.
Other tasks typically required of a FPA Manager role as necessary

Qualifications & Experience
1. Fully qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
Skills and Qualities
1. Highly proficient in creating, operating and developing financial reports and models using Microsoft excel
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
3. Continuous improvement mind set - proactive and keen to find more efficient ways of working
4. Excellent communication skills and the presence to challenge senior managers effectively.
