Responsibilities
1.
Vendor Management:
•
Negotiate or renegotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best terms for pricing, quality, and delivery.
•
Evaluate and manage vendor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and company policies.
2.
Contract Evaluation and Compliance:
•
Review contracts to ensure alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
•
Address any contract discrepancies or compliance issues promptly and effectively.
3.
Purchasing and Contracts Management:
•
Develop and implement robust purchasing and contract management processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Evaluate contracts to ensure compliance with internal company policies.
•
Establish and maintain transparent purchasing procedures that ensure accountability and traceability.
4.
Cost Optimization:
•
Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, volume discounts, and improved purchasing methods.
•
Continuously analyze purchasing data to find areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
5.
Process Improvement:
•
Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing methods, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
•
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate innovative purchasing strategies.
6.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
•
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor performance to support transparency and informed decision-making.
•
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
7.
Communication and Coordination:
•
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide timely procurement support.
•
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity in all purchasing-related matters.
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
•
Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Purchase Manager or a similar role.
•
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate with vendors and collaborate with internal teams.
•
Proven ability to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favourable outcomes for the company.
•
Exposure to solar or related domains is a plus (not mandatory).
