What you'll do
As a Financial Control Analyst, you’ll establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and deliver high quality and consistent financial, statutory, and management reporting outputs. You’ll comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’s controls on a regular basis.
You’ll also undertake reconciliations, accounting, MI and control activities to support substantiation and statutory and external reporting ensuring the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information.

Ways of Working:Hybrid
- Join us in Finance Transaction Control where you’ll support the delivery of end-to-end financial control activity, with a focus on statutory accounts preparation and reporting
- With significant exposure, you’ll enjoy networking with senior stakeholders across Finance
- We offer a hybrid way of working where you’ll be based in our Manchester office at least two days a week, with the rest of your time working from home
- You’ll be joining a newly formed team of specialists and will begin your role in February 2025
What you'll do
As a Financial Control Analyst, you’ll establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and deliver high quality and consistent financial, statutory, and management reporting outputs. You’ll comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’s controls on a regular basis.
You’ll also undertake reconciliations, accounting, MI and control activities to support substantiation and statutory and external reporting ensuring the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Participate as an attendee or member in various committees
- Prepare month-end, quarterly and annual accounting, such as journal preparation, account reconciliation and substantiation
- Support systems testing, such as user acceptance testing
- Provide support to internal and external auditors throughout the reporting period
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll display a willingness to develop your knowledge of core financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting and external audit.
We’ll also look to you to:
- Have experience in or be willing to explore current and future finance technologies such as Oracle, Tableau or Python
- Be working towards or already have an accounting qualification
