About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager EMEA based in either our UK or Rotterdam office, reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager (based in Canada), this role oversees daily accounting team operations with a focus on providing strong analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles. Key responsibilities include managing all accounting teams in EMEA, preparing monthly close, and assisting in the annual budgeting processes.

In this role, you will be expected to:
- Supervise accounting personnel that perform day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, bank reconciliation.
- Ensure completion of all month-end procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for managers.
- Review tax returns and financial statements prepared by external accountants and auditors.
- Be a power-user of Business Central and support EMEA users of the accounting system.
- Assist with preparation of year-end working papers and provide audit support for EMEA companies.
- Implement and maintain operating and control procedures in harmony with group policies.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
About You:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- You have demonstrated experience in accounting roles in international companies, preferably 3 years in managerial positions.
- You hold a CPA or equivalent certification.
- You possess excellent proficiency in MS Excel.
- You exhibit strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people. You also have good verbal and written communication skills, excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- You are able to prioritize and handle tasks in a timely manner, demonstrating excellent organizational and facilitation skills. You are known for being trustworthy, detailed, and accurate.
- You have international exposure (desired).
