Reference: JHB000361-JG-1Are you an Accountant looking to relocate to Mthatha, Eastern Cape...then this is a great opportunity for you!An emerging private hospital group who develop and manage their portfolio hospitals by serving rural and peri-urban clients across three provinces is looking for an Accountant.The purpose of the role is to ensure accurate auditing and billing of patient accounts, reflecting all stock used and procedures performed. To ensure accurate financial management and reporting within the hospital, supporting budgeting, financial forecasting, and compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and accounting standards. The accountant will manage the financial records, analyze financial data, and ensure that the hospital operates within its financial means while maintaining high standards of care.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Financial Reporting
Budgeting and Forecasting
Cost Management
Compliance and Audit
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Cash Flow Management
Financial Analysis and Advisory
Systems and Process Improvement
Team Collaboration and Support
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration
3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, healthcare finance, and accounting software
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Advanced Excel with knowledge
Experience with hospital information systems
Experience with Accounting Information system
Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Market related
