A holding company of South Africa in the Shared services division is currently looking for a Cashbook Controller to join their team on a 6 month contract. The purpose of the Cashbook Controller is to carry out accounting and clerical duties that ensure the efficient handling of bank and cash transactions.

As a Cashbook Controller you will responsible for the following:
  • Process daily bank transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve all unallocated transactions in collaboration with the Brands and GSS accounts payable department.
  • Prepare necessary correction journals.
  • Compile a weekly list of unidentified transactions for the Team Lead to follow up with the bank.
  • Request clearance for international payments.
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation
  • Upload bank statements to SharePoint.
  • Follow up on and resolve all reconciling items.
  • Prepare reconciliation for unallocated accounts.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric
Bookkeeping qualification would be beneficial
Minimum 1-3 years' experience
Excellent attention to detail
Shared services experience would be beneficial
Excel experience
