Audit Senior (Pensions Audit) - Remote Opportunity
We are looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join our fast-growing pension scheme audit team who undertake statutory audit and related services to pension schemes across the UK. It is expected that the successful candidate will be based within wholly or primarily within the pension scheme audit team as part of the wider financial services audit team.
Our pensions audit team work with around 150 clients and counting. We differ to core audit by working mainly remotely for our clients. We work with several large audit clients for both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes. We work most often with other professional entities, including professional pension administrators, trustees and actuaries.
We are flexible on location across the UK for applicants with pensions audit experience. Glasgow would be our preference for someone with no pensions audit experience.

The Audit Senior will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Complete the audit planning documentation
- Performing a range of audit procedures on financial statement balances
- Documentation of work performed in a clear and concise manner
- Liaising with and building effective relationships with pension scheme administrators, trustees and advisors
- Training and supervising audit assistant team members in the pensions audit team
- Highlighting any issues noted promptly to more senior members of the team
- Other ad-hoc projects and support as requested
About you:

- Ability to embrace new technology and be open to change
- Communication skills and prioritisation of workload are essential
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Part or fully qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, etc)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A leader of your work and professional learning
