Job Description:
You’ll be joining the International Tax group of Grant Thornton UK, a network of professionals from across the country supporting corporate groups with international tax matters. You’ll be a part of a wider corporate tax service line in one of our major UK cities, but with a focus on cross border tax advisory matters. The role will include:

• Meets the expectations of the role and acts as a positive influence on others in managing risk and driving a culture of quality and professionalism
• Delivers high quality tax work that is subject to a suitable contract with the client
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures including the completion of take-on and keeps relevant parties informed of progression on each job
• Mitigates risk through review and involvement of senior people, sector or area specialists, AQRM and NTO and ensures appropriate advice is sought
• Demonstrates an understanding of the full range of the firm's products, services and capabilities and takes an active role in cross selling
• Builds an understanding of the potential for selling into clients and intermediaries.
• Works with partners, directors and managers to promote the firm's tax expertise and other services to clients and target clients both internally and externally
• Writes high quality tax reports, professionally presented documents, requiring minimal input from directors or partners
• Reviews tax computations, e-mails, ad hoc advice and tax reports prepared by Associates and Assistant Managers and ensures the efficient and risk managed delivery of compliance
• Builds rapport with and is the main point of contact for the client and develops a clear and detailed understanding of the business and client expectations
• Deals with a wide range of technical issues and client situations and keep clients up to date with relevant technical issues, including those tax issues outside of specialist area
• Demonstrates awareness of technical issues outside of own tax expertise and seeks relevant support from tax specialists
• Appraises and mentors assistant managers and associates by giving regular feedback, timely appraisals and provides development opportunities
• Manages a team of staff on specific projects and co-ordinates work streams across service lines
• Demonstrates a clear appetite for self-development through the appraisal and personal development plan processes. Reviews work afterwards for learning points
• Acts with integrity and in line with our organisational values

Job Description:
You’ll be joining the International Tax group of Grant Thornton UK, a network of professionals from across the country supporting corporate groups with international tax matters. You’ll be a part of a wider corporate tax service line in one of our major UK cities, but with a focus on cross border tax advisory matters. The role will include:
- Advising on cross border tax advisory matters - such as permanent establishment risk, withholding taxes and treaty positions, IP movement, group re-organisations, acquisitions and disposals, cross border lending, new outbound expansion plans etc.
- Managing and delivering on projects on these topics, including co-ordination with multiple stakeholders and other GTI Member Firms
- Nurturing our long lasting client relationships with tax teams at large corporate groups, being the point of contact for day to day questions
- Working as part of a team, strategizing and planning approaches with the Partner and Director teams, coaching and developing the Associate pool
- Integrating within the international tax network, helping with technical training and presentations, research and operational management
