A Biotechnology company, based just outside of Cottenham, Cambridgeshire are on the lookout for a trainee Group Accountant to join a rapidly growing business on a full-time, permanent basis! A huge opportunity to join a growing business looking to recruit due to business growth!
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, management information, and budgeting. You'll work cross-functionally, gaining a deep understanding of the business while collaborating with senior management to prepare insightful reports.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of accounting standards, strong data analysis skills, and a passion for financial reporting.
Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone who is eager to grow in a Group Accounting role.
Key
Responsibilities:
• Manage year-end and month-end group accounting and reporting
• Handle group statutory reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards
• Drive the annual budgeting and reforecasting process
• Develop and report on key business performance indicators (KPIs)
• Use reporting tools to provide valuable business insights
• Take on any other tasks that align with your skills and role
What We're Looking For:
• UK Financial Accounting Qualification - part or newly qualified (ACA/ACCA)
• Comfortable working within an AIM-listed business
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in accounting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment
• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Great communication skills
• Must have the right to work in the UK
