Privately owned investment business based in the Hale area requires a Senior Management Accountant. This role is for a 3-6-month contract. Reporting directly into the Finance Director this role is responsible for the management of the MA reporting and cashflow forecasting. My client is looking for a technically strong and hard-working individual. The role will require a confident individual who will work with the support of the Finance Director to deliver key financial information, implement finance policies, procedures and governance controls across the group.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Produce and oversee production of management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
* Preparation of monthly finance pack with supporting commentary and variance analysis
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Posting of month-end and year-end journals
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting for all entities
* Working with Commercial Finance to review spending against budgets, identifying overspend and advising on corrective actions
* Weekly cash-flow reporting/forecasting and variance analysis, ensuring payments are made and reconciled
* Pro-actively identify and implement process, systems and reporting improvements across the department and wider business
* Provide all necessary information for completion of year-end accounts
* Business partnering with departments to provide support, information and ad-hoc reporting/analysis
The right candidate will be;
* Qualified accountant with experience preferably in an SME/PE environment
* Adherence to strict reporting deadlines
* Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP’s/Pivots
* High attention to detail
* Strong understanding of accounting processes and standards
* Available for a 6-month contract to start straight away.
