What’s the purpose of role:
To provide accurate, timely and visual reporting that provides oversight of revenue & penalties variance analysis and trending. This role partners with Operations to drive performance, help to identify benchmarks, standard costs and track deviation from these standards. It provides the insight and expertise on revenue & penalties to enable Finance Business Partners and Functional leads to manage revenue & penalties and enables the business to identify and deliver profitable growth.

External: External Audit

What you’ll be doing:
- Provision of accurate and timely reporting on revenue & penalties
- Ensure that all Divisional operational month-end, forecast and budget reporting is accurate; provide a full understanding of any deviations from flash /budget and any future impacts of current deviations.
- Support the accurate closure of the operational month end accounts to the set deadline, including processing journals for revenue & penalties
- Assist with commercial reviews, providing financial evaluation and support
- Provision of weekly revenue & penalties reporting to regional operations & finance representation in operational review meetings & discussions
- Support the development of insightful analysis, reporting and dashboards for revenue & penalties
- Provide drill down analysis of revenue & penalties reporting by airline, airport, and service , detailing trending in revenue & penalties
- Assist in setting, monitoring, trending and maintenance, and improvement of revenue & penalties KPI's.
- Continually improve the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of financial information to key stakeholders
- Responsible for divisional ad hoc revenue & penalties as required
- Knowledge in systems and processes that generate revenue & penalties: CBase, SAP, WMS.
- Investigate and reduce revenue & penalties variances
- Analyse and reduce variances between standard costs and actual cost of materials
- Accurate completion of divisional finance templates for all internal/external weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports with focus on materials and unit overheads.
- Support the identification of operational efficiency opportunities, assist with cost control and cost reduction projects.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet for revenue & penalties
- Deputise for the Head of Finance (CoE) as required.
- Liaise with External Auditors

What you’ll have:
- Be studying for a professional Qualification in either ACCA or CIMA & can demonstrate experience within similar role
- Strong management accounting skills are essential
- Ability to build business relationships and interact with internal customers
- Excellent analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills, experience with Power BI, and strong IT skills
- Be commercially astute
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- A proactive approach and collaborative attitude.
- Resilience & enthusiasm to investigate issues and solve problems
- Fluent in English, oral & written
- Experience of manufacturing, or logistics environment desirable
