A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Advisory Manager or Consultant to join my clients team in their Hertford offices on a hybrid basis.
My client is a multi award winning, top 100 national chartered accountancy & business advisory firm with national expertise offering a full range of services.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining relationships with clients, working closely with them to obtain relief from inheritance tax as well as mitigating any increased exposure to inheritance tax going forward.
- Dealing with ten year and exit charges and planning around these as they arise.
- Advising trustees on the level of income distributions and any tax repayable.
- Preparation of the firm’s Trusts Accounts and tax returns as well as ensuring compliance with HMRC.
- Dealing with HMRC inquiry work as it arises.
Work Experience & Requirements:
- Essential to have specialist experience in Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates including the preparation of Trust Accounts.
Helpful to have experience in the following:
- Exit/Succession planning, including purchase of own shares, MBO, HMRC Clearance Applications
- Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI)
- Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)
- Share reorganisations
Personal Qualities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being confident liaising with a wide range of clients both face-to-face and over email/telephone.
- Motivated individual with ability to multitask and complete assignments to deadlines.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of tax advisory experience.
- Excellent project management, analytical, IT and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Dedicated to superior client service.
- Professionalism, dependability, and integrity combined with a co-operative attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
- Qualified as a minimum, but CTA qualification would be preferred. We would consider an excellent ‘qualified by experience’ candidate.
