Our client is a renowned leader in the energy, industrial, and agricultural sectors with a legacy spanning over 190 years. As they continue to grow, they are actively seeking to expand their Finance team.
Position Overview:This role is ideal for someone who has a foundation in finance or accounting, but equally important is a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You will be working full-time, Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to transition to a hybrid working model after completing the initial training period.
In this role, you will not only handle day-to-day financial tasks but also engage in various management activities, project work, and other accounting responsibilities. Your duties will include assisting with the month-end close process, supporting financial forecasting, and playing a crucial role in reporting and analyzing financial and operational data. Your insights will directly contribute to strategic decision-making, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Key
Responsibilities:
Management Accounting: Assist in the execution of management accounting activities, including the month-end close process.
Financial Forecasting: Support financial forecasting efforts related to business activities, helping to ensure accurate and reliable projections.
Data Reporting: Assist in reporting financial and operational data using advanced Excel skills and other relevant tools, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to extract actionable insights that will inform and guide strategic decision-making processes.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement solutions that enhance overall efficiency.
Ad Hoc Duties: Take on additional duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the Finance team.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Microsoft Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial for success in this role.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Finance/Accounting Experience: Prior experience in finance or accounting is advantageous, but not mandatory.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
