An accountancy practice with offices based in Cleckheaton requires an Assistant Accountant to join their digital financial team and aid their accounts.
As an Assistant Accountant within the finance team, you will oversee providing a bookkeeping service for in-house clients of the firm including processing and maintaining purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger.
Key responsibilities to include:

Bank reconciliations
*
Preparation of VAT returns
*
Preparation or management accounts
*
Preparation of year end accounts
*
Preparation of Corporate Tax returns
This role offers the rewarding opportunity to mentor and guide junior colleagues, helping them to enhance their knowledge and skills. Additionally, it provides a platform to actively seek and promote new services within BHP, fostering both personal and organizational growth.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant role, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices. Ideally the successful candidate would be either part-qualified and studying AAT or have equivalent qualifications through extensive experience. Additionally, prior experience in a practice is desirable.
Overall, this is an excellent role for a person with a strong background in accounts e to join a firm that is positively growing with a supportive Finance team.
