Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team in our Meridian, Idaho office. Ideal candidates will have served as Senior Accountant of a small to mid-sized company during their career. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our financial operations are airtight and that we have a strong foundation to support continued growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Analyze complex financial reports and records.
Assist with Financial reporting to governing authorities monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Perform variance analysis related to assets, liabilities, and expenditures accounts.
Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
Train and mentor junior staff.
Complete investment and bank account reconciliations for 15+ accounts
Support financial and tax audits.
Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team.
Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
Mentor accounting staff as needed and provide guidance in day-to-day accounting activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements: Educational degrees must be from a US Department of Education accredited school.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as staff accountant.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage experience a plus).
Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong integrity and collaboration skills.
