Based near Kailua-Kona, HI, we're a small consruction general contractor that works on high-end projects ranging from $2M-$20M and we're looking for a Construction Accountant to spearhead all of our accounting operations.
We are willing to help relocate the right person who wants to move to Hawaii long-term.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage project accounting, including job costing and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements related to construction projects.
- Reconcile project accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate payroll processing for project-related labor.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for ongoing projects.
- Monitor and report on project costs and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Support audits and provide documentation as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payable.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other ERP systems to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in construction accounting is essential.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software.
- Strong understanding of project costing and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Knowledge of payroll and tax regulations related to construction.
- Familiarity with financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience with Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or Navision is advantageous.
