35 hour week, with early Friday finish, free parking, excellent structured training and support to develop your tax career and gain your ATT Tax qualification.
Our client, a leading, well regarded CA Firm seeks to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious individual keen to develop their career in Tax.
You will already have a grounding in UK Tax, ideally c12/18 months UK Tax experience, keen to join a friendly supportive team and perform a role covering UK tax and some US tax compliance with full training on the latter provided and comprehensive on going training, guidance and development overall.
The role being offered is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to learn not only UK tax but US tax too.
As a UK and US Tax Assistant your main duties will relate to the preparation of UK and US tax returns.
- Processing clients information to complete a first draft of the return.
- Making changes to the return based on reviewer comments.
- Preparation of covering letters to outline the tax position to clients.
- Co-ordinating returns being sent out to client and preparation of fees.
- Assisting with answers to any queries the client has on their return.
- Developing professional relationships with clients.
Corresponding with HMRC and IRS on general issues relating to clients (For example updating tax codes)
- Assisting with client take on process (co-ordinating engagement paperwork and KYC and AML information)
- Assisting with preparation and issue of fees for ad-hoc work
Our client works with a wide range of clients, from those with more straightforward tax affairs, to those with interesting and complex positions where careful consideration needs to be given to both the UK and US tax legislation.
Initially, this role would start with work on the more basic returns and as you build your knowledge, you will become more involved in completing complex returns and assisting in giving tax planning advice to clients.
