Associate Process Specialist (Accounts Receivable) - Finance Shared Services

Employment Type:- Permanent.

The Area: Morningstar is looking for Process Specialist for the Finance Shared Services. The Finance Shared Services is responsible for executing day to day accounting activities of Morningstar Global business in a process oriented and disciplined manner.

The Role: Reporting to the Financial Shared Service Team Leader, executing day to day Accounts receivable activities of Morningstar Global business in a process oriented and disciplined manner. The Role will also include responsibility for the accounting contribution for the shared services responsibility that India plays as part of Morningstar’s global business. This role will be based in our Mumbai office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Cash Application receipts through Credit Card portal, ACH/WIRE/EFTs, Lockbox.
  • Apply cash received to customer accounts or follow up with customers regarding past-due payments.
  • Reducing Unapplied and Unidentified receipts
  • Address payment issues like double payments or other discrepancies
  • Initiate customer refund requests
  • Co-ordinating with collection team for reducing overdue collection items.
  • Follow-up on remittances with customers and understanding of adjustments in payments.
  • Resolve customer queries through email.
  • Timely reply to the emails received from Internal customers and stakeholders.

Requirements
  • O2C experience with experience of Cash Application & Collection for USA customers for SSC/BPO.
  • Team player, flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ concrete experience as Accounts Receivable Executive.
  • Strong Knowledge of Cash Application & Customer collection process.
  • Experienced in ERP modules. Knowledge of Oracle R12 will be preferable.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental & company goals.
