Here at Fresh, we are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join the Fresh finance team.
The post holder will be accountable for raising, reconciling and where necessary, correcting charges for the upcoming academic term.
As Assistant Accountant you will interact with colleagues across the business working closely with site teams to work through charge corrections & adjustments (via ticketing system) and reviewing data checks provided by the reporting team to make corrections ahead of raising charges. You'll also be involved with running the periodic invoicing across the portfolio and running revised billing to ensure that the tenant accounts are up to date & accurate and that rent charges, advanced rent credits and deposit charges are all raised on time.
The role also includes working closely with the business systems team and income team to ensure that any income queries relating to lease charges are raised & closed off in a timely manner. You will also supporting on forecasting, undertake analysis and any other ad-hoc site queries.
Reporting to the Head of Business Systems the role offers an agile approach where, once established in the role, you’d be expected to work from the office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) with the remainder of time working from home (if desired).
About you
Ideally, you’ll be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar role but it’s essential that you have experience of working with financial data within an accounts or financial team / company and have experience of AR / Income Recognition.
