Job role: Service Charge Accounting Team Leader (FTC till May 25)



Location:
Luton (Hybrid)


Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm



Salary:
From £33,000 per annum - dependant on experience


The Job Role

As Service Charge Accounting Team Lead you will contribute to our vision of being the you will contribute to our vision of being the UK's leading property manager, as recognised by our colleagues, customers and partners:
  • Delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers
  • Ensuring timely and accurate Estate Finances
  • Supporting operations in communicating and understanding service charge

About You

You are an experienced finance professional with a background in commercial business partnering and want to develop in a growing organisation.

Your ideal role is one where you can utilise your accounting knowledge and your high attention to detail. You will use your strong communication skills to see and challenge information, ensuring a smooth accounting process for the wider team.

As a passionate accountant you want to motivate and share your technical knowledge through positive mentoring. Communication comes naturally to you and you can clearly explain finances across wide range of people and operations.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing & motivating a team of around 6 people to work alongside the relevant FirstPort teams to deliver accurate financial reporting, resolving queries and ensuring a high-quality service in a timely fashion.
  • Set and deliver department productivity metrics and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients.
  • Pro-actively liaise with managers and auditors on any areas of concern ensuring clear action plans for resolution.
  • Contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes, or feedback from colleagues/external parties.
