This exciting role provides a wealth of rich development opportunities, where the individual will be instrumental in building and delivering the strategic direction for the Leven site.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager at Leven, this Deployment Manager (DM) role will work in the Strategic Planning & Projects (SP&P) Department, delivering our change programme from the site, including CAPEX and Brand Change (BC) initiatives.
Purpose of the Role
- The Deployment Manager has the responsibility to lead and deliver the Brand Change agenda at Site (as well as 3rd Party's where Site is the mother plant) and Capex projects within the agreed safety, quality, cost and timeline criteria. This is a proactive role to drive, facilitate performance, cost optimisation and embed Brand Change projects at Site.
- The DM will have a high level of change management experience and skills to deliver the Brand change and capex agenda, along with ensuring improvements and changes are well implemented and sustainable and do not impact performance. The DM will be the primary site contact and own the implementation and flawless integration of all Brand Change projects for site alongside consideration of the BC pipeline.
- Work at the Tier 1 and Tier 2 level to deliver outstanding performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Environment, Delivery, Productivity, Cost and Morale).
- Ensure that all health, safety and environment, quality, cost and reliability standards are met and driving conformance to regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g. Management of Change/HACCP etc.) in packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Management and ownership of all BC projects and continuously aiming for the next level of performance.
- Provide and promote Site Brand Change key performance indicator covering quality, cost, delivery, right first time and speed to market. Support the balanced scorecard critical metrics by minimising the impact of any change or improvement on OEE performance, quality, H&S and compliance.
- Constantly challenge operation teams to ensure accurate and consistent line speed and crew information, enabling robust cost of goods information to be supplied to the markets and supporting the site budgetary process.
- Own change management and issue escalation processes.
- Provide project change management support to teams to deliver improvement initiatives.
- Be responsible for the overall Site Project Risk Assessment ensuring all risks are identified and mitigated, and ensuring all workstream risk assessments are being led effectively.
- Develop focused improvement initiatives through constant challenge of the norm (e.g. 3rd party production, Product to Line allocation), monitor speed and crew data.
- Ensure effective engagement and rigour with other team members covering Operations, Planning, Project and Functional Engineering, Pro Cap & Data enabling success.
- Lead key internal/external partners ensuring effective engagement at all levels. Drive improvement initiatives in conjunction with Process Capability to articulate and assess requirements for all brand change activity.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate effective leadership to drive and embed change across our site.
- Proactive structured problem evaluation & solving skills learnt through exposure to Manufacturing Excellence Tools.
- Good knowledge level and the confidence to utilise existing computer packages. Proficient in use of standard business (MS Office).
- Exposure to risk assessment and risk management.
- Project / Change Management experience is good to have.
- NEBOSH qualification or willing to complete it within 12 months.
