Credit Controller
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to manage credit control for Talk Straight Ltd and its associated divisions. The successful candidate will ensure timely payment from our 2500+ customers, resolve payment queries, and play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company.

Key responsibilities of this role:
Daily Tasks:
    • Customer Liaison: Communicate with customers via phone and email to ensure that all invoices are paid within agreed payment terms.
    • Sales Ledger Management: Oversee a sales ledger for 2500+ customers, monitoring payment progress and addressing outstanding invoices.
    • Query Resolution: Monitor the credit control inbox, ensuring timely responses to all customer payment queries and reconciling remittances to received payments.
    • Interdepartmental Liaison: Work with internal departments to resolve customer queries efficiently.
    • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile daily bank receipts to corresponding invoices in Xero.
    • Record Keeping: Ensure all customer contact is accurately documented within Xero to maintain an audit trail of communications.

    Monthly Tasks:
      • Direct Debit Management: Administer all direct debit payments for Talk Straight Ltd, ensuring timely payment receipt and reconciliation at the end of each month.
      • Aged Debtor Reporting: Monitor aged debtor reports to minimise overdue invoices, chasing payments as necessary.
      • Cash Collection Forecasting: Prepare and present a monthly cash collection forecast.
      • Supplier Invoice Reconciliation: Spend 3-4 days per month assisting with the reconciliation of supplier invoices against original orders. Chase credit notes from suppliers in cases of discrepancies.

      Working Environment
      We offer hybrid working to promote a healthy work/life balance, working remotely and attending our Ilkley office 1-2 days per week. Therefore you will need to be within a reasonable commute of this office.
