Financial Controller

Salary £45K - £55K permanent position based in Daventry working Monday to Friday based in Daventry. Newly created position with great long term opportunities. 28 days holiday plus Christmas shut down, enjoy your birthday off, life insurance and company pension.

Working for a family owned Plant, tool and powered access hire company with 5 locations across the midlands. They also have a specialist training department offering courses in PASMA, IPAF.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Weekly bank reconciliation & liaison with bank
  • Staff payroll monthly & pension submission
  • Contractor payroll weekly & pension submission
  • HMRC submissions and payments (CIS, PAYE & NIC, VAT)
  • Petty Cash management
  • Quarterly Group VAT data submission to accountants / review & payment.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Processing and payment of supplier invoices
  • Raising of sales invoices and associated credit control


In addition to the normal accounting duties, they are looking for someone that can so some business analysis for them to help them grow the business and become more profitable. You will be working very closely with the owner of the business.


Do you tick the must have requirements for this vacancy?


• Accountancy qualification (part qualified will be considered)

• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage etc.

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
