PURCHASE LEDGER ASSISTANT
LEICESTER/HYBRID - 2-3 DAY WORKING SPLIT

If you decide our Purchase Ledger Assistant role is for you you’ll be joining the UK’s largest group of conveyancers, a business that is constantly looking to expand, and one that champions strategic innovation.
This role is an essential part of our team, providing first line Purchase Ledger support to our staff, managers and suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS
And now for the nitty gritty:
You’ll need to have some experience of working within a Finance team, specifically in regards to Purchase Ledger activities. If you have formal Finance qualifications already that would be fantastic although this is not at all a pre-requisite as we value experience over qualifications for this particular role.
You will be friendly yet professional in all communications, and able to build strong and effective relationships with colleagues, managers and suppliers.
You will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work quickly and effectively with minimal supervision. You will be prepared to help your team mates with their workload when needed, and be able to deal with urgent requests, conflicting demands, and difficult situations calmly and competently.
You will be IT proficient, particularly in regards to Microsoft Excel, and have some previous exposure to accounting software, ideally Sage 200.

- Ownership of the purchase ledger including ensuring invoices are approved in a timely manner
- Processing high volume transactions accurately
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, including frequent communication with external bodies regarding queries and process
- Maintenance of purchase order trackers, book purchases, and match against orders and approvals
