Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with a growing services provider based on the outskirts in Colchester in recruiting a new Financial Accountant. Reporting into senior management and working in a face paced environment you will be preparing and reviewing management reports, monthly accounts, and claims as well as overseeing the Finance Assistant.
Main Duties
Preparing and reviewing management reports, monthly accounts, and claims.
Managing cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and Fixed Asset registers.
Supporting the yearly audit process and compliance efforts.
Maintaining Build Partner retention schedules and recharges
Liaising with budget holders for effective financial management.
Leading finance projects and assisting with system improvements.
Overseeing the Finance Assistant and handling supplier payments.
Organising and attending stock takes as required.Skills and Experience
ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified
Proven experience in a Finance Department, including Management Accounts production
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong knowledge of Accounting, Financial Control, and Sage 200 Accounts
Experience in process management and implementing control procedures
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload
Self-motivated team player with strong collaboration skills across departments
Ability to create and refine processes effectively
