Group Risk is responsible for developing and maintaining an adequate risk framework that allows the Group to deliver its strategy within the LSEG Board approved risk appetite (level of risk willing to accept to achieve strategic objectives) It is also responsible to ensure governance arrangements are in place to adequate manage and report on the risk profile of the Group. The Role reports to the Director, Non-Financial Risk and is part of the Chief Risk Office - Data & Analytics and Operations team from the Group Risk function.
This role is responsible for supporting the management and reporting of the Operational Risk primarily across the Group. The role requires close liaison with the business, in particular Risk Champions / Business Risk Officers (and equivalent) to ensure the risk management framework is fully embedded and operational. It requires working with other members of Group Risk to ensure that risk assessments are completed, and the risk profile is known for the Group and reporting provided to Senior Management (including ExCo and LSEG Board).

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING
- Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships at all levels and excellent stakeholder management
- Flexible work approach and adaptability
- Experience of having worked in the financial services sector and have some experience in risk/compliance/audit
- Puts project management methodologies in place e.g. schedules of work; progress reports
- You have a degree level qualification
- You have a professional accreditation in risk management
- Identify, assess, manage, and monitor the risks with Group Operations against the risk appetite approved by the Board to ensure the delivery of the LSEG strategic plan.
- Partner with Risk Champions and Business Control Officers within Group Operations to identify their risks through top risk profiling workshops and through bottom-up Risk and Control Assessments (RCAs).
- Identify key risks related to integration of new business units, companies or through reorganisation and recommend and /or facilitate the integration solutions to allow the Operations division to maintain a strong control environment
- Support the preparation of the consolidated risk profile of the business divisions for presentation to senior management, relevant entity boards and risk committees.
- Work alongside the business to ensure risk mitigating actions are put in place and are effective.
- Oversight and monitoring of compliance with policies, including the development of key risk indicators, assurance testing and other metrics to allow a determination of the level of compliance with polices throughout the Group.
- Support in the completion of deep dives / investigations that may arise because of external event.
