About the Role:
Join our team as a Financial Statutory Specialist! In this pivotal role, you will support the Statutory Supervisor with critical month-end and year-end closings, ensuring seamless and accurate financial reporting. You'll be instrumental in managing statutory accounts and Group reporting, contributing to the financial integrity of a leading company in the fast-paced FMCG industry. Responsibilities:
You will assist the Financial Statutory FMCG Supervisor in executing daily tasks according to the Group month-end calendar, ensuring all financial activities are completed on schedule. This includes posting journals and performing general ledger account reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. You will also perform daily activities in line with the Group month-end calendar, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly and efficiently.
You'll conduct monthly intercompany reconciliations, collaborating closely with the Shared Services team and other Group entities' admin teams to resolve discrepancies. Additionally, you’ll support during external interim audits, preparing audit documentation as requested, contribute to process improvements, and perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
You'll liaise with external third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to resolve stock issues, ensuring efficient inventory management. In addition to these tasks, you will support fixed assets reporting, helping to maintain accurate records and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
You will support the calculation and reporting of IFRS 16 leasing contracts, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Furthermore, you'll assist in investigating and resolving financial issues, providing critical support to the Financial Statutory FMCG Supervisor in maintaining the integrity of financial data. Finally, you will assist in preparing annual accounts, ensuring all financial statements are complete and compliant with regulations.
Who we are looking for:
You must have prior experience with Hyperion Financial Management, as well as being part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or actively studying towards it. Strong IFRS knowledge and experience in preparing financial statements under FRS101 are essential.
Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Office skills are required. You need to be collaborative, proactive, and able to work effectively across teams, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, you should have the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the organisation.
