Key
Responsibilities:
- Lead for Business unit financial reporting requirements, both routine and non-routine
- Strong understanding of advanced financial planning and analysis concepts and the ability to articulate these to management
- Own the preparation of the Business Unit monthly short-term forecast and Annual Operating Plan forecast, with detailed supporting schedules
- Understand and develop indirect rate models and conduct rate variance analysis
- Analyse Business Unit level financial forecasts and provide independent assessments to Management
- Support internal programme reviews and prepare ad-hoc reports for Senior Management
- Prepare variance analysis of actual versus forecast financial performance
- Establish and monitor departmental budgets, indirect rate forecasts, and estimates
- Develop and implement sophisticated financial models and dashboards
- Analyse trends in orders, sales, cost of sales, profit, and cash, and provide strategic recommendations to Senior Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for accurate and timely submission of all Business Unit reports and data requests
Job Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACMA, etc) with post-qualification experience
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Experience in a similar role within the government contracting industry or relevant financial experience in a related industry
