An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join the team at our Hesslewood offices.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility of 2 remote working days per week. We would be looking for a suitable candidate to join the team around December 2024

An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join the team at our Hesslewood offices.
Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Downloading cash from the bank and posting in SAP (multiple currencies)
- Effective cash collections (emails/calls/customer relationships) to minimise overdue balances
- Liaising with internal teams to find solutions for late payments and order/deliveries blocks
- Credit checking new Customers and performing ongoing reviews for existing Customers
- Proposing (obtaining approval) and maintaining accurate credit limits and payment terms
- Following Credit Policy, working instructions and other Company Policies
- Assisting with month end reporting and other ad hoc requests

Essentials:
- Proven knowledge and experience of working in a credit control department
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building effective working / customer relationships
- Attention to detail to ensure work is produced to a high standard and communications / notes are accurate and up to date at all times
- Good planning and organisation skills are required, as is self-motivation to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines set
- A flexible can do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to change as business processes/systems evolve
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths at grades C or above
Desirables:
- Experience of using SAP
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel)
- Credit Checking experience
- Knowledge of Financial Accounts
- Experience with Global customers
- Experience of multiple currencies
- Knowledge of payment term methods (Secured terms)
- Credit Management or other Finance qualification (e.g. AAT)
