We have an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as aAssistant Management Accountant on our Chippenham site. Working within a busy centralised invoice and transactional function with the aimto produce accurate, timely Management of Accounts for Logistic Solutions and People Campus and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.

Hours:37.5 hours per week hybrid working attending our office on Tuesday and Wednesday's.

How will you contribute?

To produce accurate, timely Management Accounts for Logistic Solutions and People Campus and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monthly production of Management Accounts. Deliver an accurate set of accounts including a variance analysis for presentation to the Finance Business Partner.
  • Supporting with Supplier relationships including raising orders
  • Reconcile the balance sheet with timely query resolution.
  • Involvement in the Budget / Forecast process, providing the Business Partner with information for functional review and incorporating changes as instructed.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Review key overhead spend categories and provide analytical insight for decision making.
  • Provision of ad-hoc support to the accounting services team as required.
  • Ensure prompt escalation of any issues

Typical Outputs:
  • Accurate Monthly Management Accounts including variance to budget analysis.
  • 100% completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Accurate Budget / Forecast submissions as required.
  • Delivery of information to the Internal customer Head of Finance for Support Functions.
  • Process improvement initiatives

What will you bring?
  • Currently studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/AAT).
  • Experience of preparing accounting packs including variance analysis.
  • Experience of working to deadlines
  • Ability to identify process improvements that deliver quality / efficiency benefits.
  • A good understanding of accounting concepts to manage the timing and treatment of transactions in line with company policy.
  • OrganiSEDand structured approach to meeting deadlines.
