We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to become a vital member of our clients Hospital Finance team! In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounts payable and receivable functions while supporting general ledger activities.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Accounts Payable Functions:

  • Manage Communications: Oversee the accounts payable inbox, ensuring all communications are reviewed and actioned promptly.
  • Invoice Processing: Accurately record, process, and reconcile supplier invoices to guarantee timely payments.
  • Payment Cycle Management: Regularly reconcile supplier statements and prepare for payment runs.
  • Supplier Relations: Build strong relationships with suppliers to address and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with departmental heads for timely invoice approvals and payment issue resolutions.


Accounts Receivable Functions:

  • Payment Reconciliation: Reconcile and accurately account for all received payments in Xero.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Review and process remittance advices, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
  • Billing Support: Collaborate with the billing assistant to ensure accurate payment capture in Meddbase and Xero.
  • Credit Control: Manage outstanding balances and produce aged receivable reports for month-end.


Who You Are:

  • Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (Grades A - C) required; familiarity with Xero and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. An accounting qualification or progress towards one is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a finance-related role is required, preferably within the Private Healthcare industry.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach are a must!

This is a Monday to Friday position working up to 40 hours per week alongside some of the best consultants in the world. Shifts will be around 9am to 5pm
