Job Description
Equifind have teamed up with an international bank, who are looking to add an assistant accountant to the team, as the business continues to grow to high levels.
You will join a medium sized finance team and assist with the corporation tax calculations for both local and international entities, so you must have a strong background and interest in this space.
This is a superb opportunity for someone to support the global head of tax and gain some great exposure.

An international investment bank that is a major player in this field. You will be joining a high-performance business, as well as a high performing team.
With offices across the globe, you will work closely with the wider finance teams and business heads. This will offer a high level of responsibility and you will be supporting the business in all VAT affairs.
The finance team has a great cultural feel to it, so you’ll enjoy working with a variety of characters, both locally and internationally.
The office in central London is top class and the role requires you to be office based, three days per week, with the two remaining days WFH at your choice.
Daily Rate
This exciting opportunity for an assistant accountant will pay between £250-£350 per day, depending on experience.
We will also love at candidates who prefer FTC at around the £45k-£55k.
Duration will be a minimum 6 months and ideally start within the next few weeks.

Key duties and responsibilities for this London assistant accountant position include:
- Support the corporation tax manager with the preparation of all monthly tax provision reporting working papers for EMEA and Asia entities;
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly current and deferred tax provisions and journals for all relevant legal entities, review and reconciliation;
- Assisting with the preparation of tax analysis for corporate tax returns;
- Assisting with the calculation of the quarterly instalments’ payments for the UK Group; and payment on accounts for other jurisdictions;
- Assisting with the with the preparation of statutory tax notes under appropriate UK GAAP for all UK entities;
- Work with multiple stakeholders including external advisors and the HMRC
Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Part Qualified Accountant with CT specialism
- Exposure to a variety of international jurisdictions preferred
- Exposure to tax accounting or a strong interest
- Awareness of wider taxes such as transfer pricing and Withheld tax would be a benefit
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP desirable
- Strong excel skills
