Job Description:

Department

The Tax Department is responsible for ensuring that the EDFT group meets its tax compliance requirements in the jurisdictions in which it operates, and provides support and advice to the business and other support functions as appropriate.

Position purpose

Interim role: The Tax Senior Manager will design and implement technology solutions to improve corporate tax compliance and reporting processes within EDFT’s tax department. Additionally, the role will involve supporting the team with financial reporting and compliance work, as well as involvement in tax advisory and transfer pricing projects on an ad hoc basis.

Main responsibilities
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing tax compliance and reporting processes through the use of technology.
  • Collaborate with tax teams in other EDF entities to understand tax technology initiatives across the group and to share EDFT experiences
  • Work with Finance team members and external advisers on tax aspects of phase 2 of the ERP (Workday) implementation project
  • Review organisation of tax data/knowledge within existing systems and design and create dashboards to provide easy access to key information
  • Review UK corporate tax returns (4 entities)
  • Tax reporting and forecasting, including providing input to audit process
  • Support Tax Manager to streamline CBCR and Pillar 2 reporting processes
  • Support the tax team with other projects/work on an ad hoc basis. To include tax advisory work, tax compliance, transfer pricing, legal contract review


Experience required
  • Experience implementing corporate tax accounting/reporting technology solutions
  • Experience of tax automation - interrogation of ERP system and creation of information flows
  • UK tax compliance
  • Minimum of 10 years working in a corporate tax environment


Technical requirements
  • Accounting and/or tax qualification desirable but not essential
  • Strong IFRS tax accounting knowledge, including consolidation, ideally obtained within an in-house tax team
  • Workday experience would be an advantage

Hours of work:

8.30am - 5.30pm / 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
