We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral to assist with the appointment of a Accountancy Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.56 - £20.71 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- Producing budget and accounting information and reports including financial monitoring statements and written commentaries.
- Assist in the preparation of budget monitoring papers and working papers for a service area.
- Maintain salary working papers and agency monitoring papers, and other
working papers such as a budget tracker and establishment working paper. - Prepare and process journals.
- Monitoring financial transactions
Qualifications:
- You will be AAT qualified or equivalent.
- Good mathematical skills
- Excellent IT skills including advanced excel.
- Ability to work with services and non financial staff.
- Ability to work as part of a Finance Team.
- Good communication and inter personal skills.
- Use a thorough, methodical approach.
- Use to reconciling large volumes of transactions, ideally experience of
- preparing reconciliation such as for salaries and the bank.
