We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, UK Accounting and Statutory Reporting Specialist to join our Accounting Team. This role is located in Manchester, UK - Hybrid.

This is an ideal role for a qualified accountant with audit experience, particularly those looking to move out of practice. The UK LEC team have adopted a centralised approach to statutory accounting such that this role manages the process for each of BNY's 30+ UK banking and asset management entities. The role looks to drive efficiency, standardisation and a robust audit process for the statutory accounts. The role acts as a contact point between key stakeholders including the LEC team, Tax team, Technical Accounting Group and the external auditors.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure there is tight governance over accounting interpretations

Work with the Technical Accounting Group on complex accounting issues and delivering accounting and financial reporting training to the Controllers and finance Centre of Excellence teams.
Consistent high quality financial statements that meet the stakeholders' expectations
Implementation of new accounting standards
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience

Financial services experience preferred
In depth knowledge of IFRS and USGAAP
Proven track record in translating accounting theory into practical application
Project management and outsourcing experiences would be desirable
