Our client is a successful, privately owned business located in central Oxford.

Your new role
The Head of Finance will report to the MD and oversee a small team. You will play a critical role in guiding, supporting and interpreting the financial direction of the company, ensuring long-term financial health and success. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial activity, including accounting, reporting, process improvement, audit preparation (external and internal), budgeting and forecasting.
You will support the development, collaboration and implementation of the annual business plan, by producing budgets which consider the company's strategic direction, and planned expenditure. You will be naturally inquisitive and proactive in maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices within the industry, to ensure that maximum productivity is achieved.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record as a successful Head of Finance or Financial Controller. You will be a self-starter who is hands-on, highly organised and whose decision-making is driven by data accompanied by knowledge of company, industry and local market trends. An uncompromising level of honesty and integrity is required, as well as strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
