Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):
$124,700.00 - $231,700.00

Infinera is seeking a Senior Tax Manager of Provision, reporting directly to the Tax Provision Director. This role will be primarily responsible for managing the US-based consolidation of tax provision for a global company operating in 45+ countries. As a key member of our Tax Department, the Senior Tax Manager will manage a co-sourced income tax provision process. This position will leverage technology resources to assist with streamlining process and developing synergies between the provision and compliance processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Tax Provision with accuracy of quarterly and annual tax provision throughout the year
  • Partner with co-source provision partner to improve standardization as well as automation in the US tax provision process
  • Research & document technical positions taken for financial reporting purposes
  • Validate data provided to co-sourced provider for accuracy & relevance for proper financial statement reporting
  • Maintain tax provision workflow calendar & track obligations, suggest operating efficiencies to workflow
  • Drive automation opportunities using OTP, Alteryx or other technologies
  • Coordinate with regional tax directors regarding foreign tax packages, review & ensure accuracy with US SEC financial reporting obligations
  • Ensure proper completion of SOX controls, including appropriate evidence of control performed and evidence of review
  • Manage consolidated tax account reconciliations, ensuring proper balances and documentation are maintained
  • Build, lead, develop and mentor a strong performing team of tax professionals
  • Collaborate across the tax team on special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • 9+ years of experience at a multinational corporation and/or public accounting firm
  • Understanding of GAAP tax accounting and reporting of consolidated groups
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong preference for a candidate with a CPA certification
  • Experience leading and managing complex US reporting structures for a multinational with a large number of entities in multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated track record of standardizing, executing and documenting end-to-end processes, particularly for compliance and provision
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience with problem solving and prioritization
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to work independently and/or cross functionally as needed to own and drive the US compliance process
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP and OneSource software a plus
