Accounts Senior

Nottingham, NG9

£35,000-45,000 per annum, DOE

Our client, a well-regarded top 15 accounting and business advisory firm, offers an exciting role for an Accounts Senior within their team. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with an attractive salary and comprehensive company benefits. This role calls for an enthusiastic qualified or part-qualified accountant to join the dynamic services team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, providing support primarily in the areas of management accounts and year-end accounts. In addition, there will be opportunities to contribute to various projects as they arise. Key duties include:

  • Producing accounts working files.

  • Clearing client queries and generating discussion points for senior managers or partners.

  • Working within agreed budgets at the planning stage.

  • Producing draft tax computations and statutory disclosures.

  • Planning and controlling professional work within standard procedures.

  • Maintaining a working knowledge of computer-based programs.

  • Attending Haines Watts-led training and seminars for ongoing development.

  • Professionally representing the firm in client dealings.


Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA or ACCA qualified; part-qualified candidates will be considered.

  • Previous experience as an Accounts Senior in an accounting firm.

  • Knowledge of Iris and Xero is preferred but not essential.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Experience with cloud-based accountancy software.
